Obituary

Alan Lee Hale, 54, of Wampsville, died Thursday at his home. Alan worked at the home farm in Manlius, NY doing field work, dairy work and maintenance. He completed his blasting license. He went to school and was certified in fluid power including hydraulics, pneumatics and electricity. Alan worked at Ralph Earl Rubbish Removal and most recently Chobani Yogurt. Alan was active in the Remote Control Pullers of CNY, the Medical Reserve Corp and the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. Al was best known for his big heart and love of helping anyone who needed a hand. Al will be greatly missed and remembered lovingly by all who knew him. Alan was predeceased by his parents, Lee and Jeanne Hale and his brother Paul Hale. He is survived by his longtime partner Cindy McKeraghan, and children Lisa (Chad) D'Angelo, Bonnie McKeraghan and Sara (Vernon) Chestnut, Erik (Katrina) Hale, Shelbi DuBord and Tricia Hale. Alan is also survived by his sisters Kathe Murphy of Florida and Lynn Hale (Pete Cookhouse) of Pompey. A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 27th at 11 am at Tait Funeral Home, Inc., 2333 Fenner Road, Cazenovia. Burial will be in Fayetteville Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 2-4, 7-9 pm on Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Al's favorite charity, American Cancer Society.
