       Anne Richmond Wallace, 70, of Cazenovia, New York passed away peacefully at home Monday, February 16, 2026 with her family by her side.

       She was born August 27, 1955, in Nashville, Tennessee, the daughter of Colin and Virginia Richmond. Anne lived in Newburyport, MA, resided in Sherrill, NY during her high school years. She was a resident of Cazenovia for the past 23 years and retired from Madison Mutual Insurance after a 20-year career in December of 2024.

       Anne dedicated her life wholeheartedly to her family and was a devoted wife, loving mother and a proud grandmother. Her family was her greatest joy and her life’s true purpose. She led by example in all that she did, showing strength and kindness in everyday moments. She loved deeply, gave generously, and lived each day with gratitude for the blessings around her. Her home was the heart of her family, a warm and welcoming place filled with laughter, comfort and unconditional love where everyone felt cherished.

       She was an active and faithful member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, where she joyfully served in the church choir. She loved to bake and was especially well known for her creative cheesecakes, which became a favorite at family gathering and special occasions. In addition, Anne was an exceptional knitter and created beautiful pieces which will be treasured for years to come. She was an avid reader, with an extensive collection of hardcover books reflecting her love for literature.

       Anne is survived by her husband of 51 years, David C. Wallace; her sons, Matthew (Julie) Wallace and Christopher (Wallis) Wallace; four grandchildren, Aevlyn, Rowan, Clementine and Hayes Wallace; her sister-in-law, Tari (Pat) Page; her brother-in-law, Guy Wallace and by the Webber family.

       There are no calling hours, a celebration of Anne’s life will be held at a later date. Contributions in Anne’s memory may be made to the Nappi Wellness Institute Food Pantry Fund, c/o Upstate Foundation, 750 East Adams St., Syracuse, NY 13210 (please make checks payable to Upstate Foundation) or online at upstatefoundation.org.
