Barbara J. Hulbert, 88, of Eastwood, formerly of DeRuyter, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at home. She was born November 6, 1936 in DeRuyter to Raymond and Mable Hulbert and was a graduate of DeRuyter Central Schools. After graduation she was employed at Smith Corona and retired from the treasury department at National Grid after 33 years of service. Barbara enjoyed traveling, skiing, antiquing, was an avid NY Yankees fan and loved the winters in Florida. Barbara is survived by her sister, Bernice Badman of Auburn and generations of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers and five sisters. The family would like to thank Dr. Li and Dr. Fuleihan for their exceptional care and compassion at a most difficult time. A calling hour will be from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., Wednesday, April 23, 2025 with a memorial service to follow at Michael E. Brown Funeral Services, 2333 Fenner Road in Cazenovia. Private burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in DeRuyter.
