Bethanne Frances (Dean) “Beth” Gagnon, 64, of Cazenovia passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 11, 2026 due to a bicycle accident on The Link Trail in Cazenovia. She was born February 23, 1962 in Jersey City, New Jersey to Raymond and Annette Dean. Beth earned her AAS degree in Veterinary/Animal Health Technology and her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from LeMoyne College. Beth was currently employed as the Director of Case Management at Meals on Wheels of Syracuse.

       Beth was the heart of her family. She adored her children, Justin and Caryn who along with her husband, Ron were the loves of her life. Beth was a kind, selfless person who always put others before herself. She loved animals; especially her dogs Mochi and Luna, nature and music. Her deep love for animals was evident in her support of Helping Hounds Dog Rescue in North Syracuse. Beth was known for her sense of humor, creativity, adventurous and fearless personality. In her free time, Beth enjoyed biking, photography, landscaping, volleyball, and arts & crafts.

       Beth is survived by her husband of 29 years, Ronald Gagnon; her children, Caryn and Justin; her brother Paul Dean and by her nieces, Ashley and Alisha Dean.

       Calling hours will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., Monday, October 19, 2026 with services to follow at 6 p.m. at Michael E. Brown Funeral Services, 2333 Fenner Road in Cazenovia. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Beth’s memory may be made to Meals on Wheels of Syracuse, 307 Gifford St., Syracuse, NY 13204 or to Helping Hounds Dog Rescue, 7268 Caswell St., North Syracuse, NY 13212.
