Obituary

Bruce Richmond, 62, of Cazenovia, died Wednesday at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse. He was born on June 16, 1952, the son of the late James and Olive Richmond. Bruce attained a BSEE from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an MBA degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He served for 6 years in the United States NAVY as a reactor operator aboard the nuclear submarine, USS Jack. Bruce was employed for many years by General Electric Co. in Utica where he worked in Research and Development. He was also employed as Program Manager by Corning, Inc. and Sensis Corp. Bruce was a member and past president of the Oriskany Falls Rotary Club.; a member of the New Hartford Rotary Club.; a dispatcher for the Cazenovia Area Volunteer Ambulance Corps; and a member of the National Volunteer Dog Rescue and Transport. Surviving are his wife, Kathleen "Kathy"; his son, Charles Edward Richmond (Jesikah) of Houston, TX; step children, Glynn Bebee (Dawn Eller) of Ithaca, and Karen Bebee Lavier of Holland Patent; Eight grandchildren. Calling hours will be from 4-7 PM Friday at the Tait Funeral Home, Inc. 2333 Fenner Road, Cazenovia. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to CAVAC, PO Box 56, Cazenovia, NY 13035 or to the National Kidney Foundation.
