Carol Lee (Crosby) Bentley, 72, of Erieville, died peacefully on October 6, 2016 at the Lutheran Home of CNY after a brief illness. Carol was an extremely talented woman who could paint beautiful pictures, crochet, knit or sew anything she chose, often without a pattern. However, her true passion was quilting, which she designed and sewed by hand. She was predeceased by her daughter, Catherine. Carol is survived by her beloved husband and soul mate, Carl H. Bentley, Sr. They were married for 54 years and were completely devoted to each other. She is also survived by her son, Carl H. Bentley, Jr. of Ohio; her sister, Roberta (Lawrence) Dyer of Baldwinsville; her brother, Robert Crosby of Manlius; her nephew, Maxwell (Katharine) Dyer of Vestal; her niece, Chelsea (Erich) Schepp of Minoa as well as several great nieces and nephews.
