Christine Putnam Mann, 61, of Fabius, passed away Monday, August 11, 2025. She was born in Syracuse on October 12, 1963 to Norman and Beatrice Lewis Putnam. Christine was a graduate of Fabius-Pompey High School and attended S.U.N.Y. Morrisville. She was a "top notch" Dental Assistant and had been an Optometry Assistant at Lafayette Family Optometry. Chris found her most rewarding career as a Teacher's Aide in the special education department at the Fabius-Pompey School District. Chris had a love for horses that began early in her childhood on her parent's horse farm. She would raise and show Palomino Quarter Horses and was a member of the Palomino Horse Breeder's Association and the New York State Palomino Exhibitors Association. She was a member of the former Pompey United Church.
Christine is survived by her children, Stephanie (Matthew) Mann Hertel of Pittsburgh, PA and Michael (Madalyn Kay) Mann of Syracuse; her brother, Douglas (Michele) Putnam of Doylestown, PA; her sister, Janet (John) McLaughlin of Myrtle Beach, SC; her grandchildren, Emery and Liam Mann, Emma and Ethan Hertel; her former husband, David Mann and a very close friend, Sheri Freunscht who was like a sister to Chris. She was predeceased by her parents, Norman and Beatrice Lewis Putnam.
A calling hour will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Thursday, August 14, 2025 with services to follow at Michael E. Brown Funeral Services, 2333 Fenner Road in Cazenovia. Burial will be in Pompey Hill Cemetery.
