Obituary

David K. Bull, 83, of Cazenovia, passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2014. He was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut to the late Arthur and Adeline Bull on September 10, 1930. David graduated from Grosse Pointe (Michigan) High School in 1948. David attended Cornell University, was a member of the rowing team and graduated with an Economics degree in 1953. David's first job was with General Motors, where he was a lead presenter in the Parade of Progress national science program. He was then employed by SKF and Rollway bearing companies and eventually formed David K. Bull Enterprises until he retired in 1998. David was a beloved member of the Cazenovia community, known for his welcoming spirit, sense of humor and willingness to give of himself unconditionally. David was an active member of the Willowbank Yacht Club, as a Lightning and Finn skipper and a frequent captain of race committee boat; the Cazenovia Club, where, for years, he wrote and published the Kaleidoscope magazine, and the Cazenovia Bridge Club. David is survived by his wife of 19 years, Barbara, three children, David Jr. of Cohasset, Mass., Thomas (Nicolette) of Baldwinsville, and Elizabeth of Fayetteville; his sisters Marjorie of St. Luis Obispo, CA and Barbara of Montpelier, VT. David also had three grandchildren, Samuel, Alex and Aiden. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CAVAC, PO Box 58 Cazenovia, NY 13035. A memorial service for David, will take place at the First Presbyterian Church of Cazenovia, on Saturday, May 10th at 11:00am.
