Obituary

Glynn Martin Cook of Cazenovia, born to George and Jenny Cook on May 8, 1945 departed this life on December 10, 2014 - his mother's birthday. He is survived by his wife of 48 ½ years, Marti, and son, James, daughter-in-law, Jennifer, grandchildren, Jaron, Jacob and Julia, brother, Gordon Cook (Gini), sisters-in-law, Mary Jackson and Valerie Wilson, multiple cousins and a host of friends. He is pre-deceased by his parents, 2 brothers, Gates and Gayle, and his son, Stephen Glynn Cook. Glynn grew up in Whitney Point, NY and is a graduate of SUNY Cobleskill. He worked for Agway, Inc. in Ithaca and Syracuse for 35 years. His retirement job was in the Carol Watson Greenhouse. This was his dream job and one he totally loved. Flowers, gardening and music were his passions. He sang in various musical groups and church choirs. He also played the piano and taught lessons to many Cazenovia children for years. He was an avid deer hunter and bird-watcher. He loved all of God's creatures. There will be no calling hours and burial is private. A celebration of his life will take place at St. James Church, 6 Green Street in Cazenovia on December 20th at 10:30 a.m.
