Helen "Honey" McDermott, 83, of Pompey, passed away at home on Wednesday, May 26, 2021. She was born January 29, 1938 in Syracuse to John and Elizabeth McDermott. Honey was employed as a secretary at Kelly and Dutch Real Estate, Inc. in Syracuse for several years until her retirement. She was a communicant of the Church of the Nativity at Immaculate Conception Pompey and in her free time Honey enjoyed completing crossword and jigsaw puzzles, knitting, traveling and spending time with her family. Helen is survived by her sisters, Mary Way and Anne (James) Valentine; her brother, John (Mary) McDermott and by several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at the Church of the Nativity at Immaculate Conception Pompey. A calling hour will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church prior to the Mass. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Pompey.
