Helena M. Smith, 97, of Cazenovia, passed away Tuesday at St. Camillus. Helena was a communicant of St. James Church also she loved to listen to the New York Yankees on her radio. She enjoyed being a great cook and baking her homemade bread in her earlier years. She loved to play cards of any game! She is predeceased by her husband Lawrence (2000) and daughter-in-law, Pearl McConnell (2011)and granddaughter Kimberly Depuy. Surviving is her son Robert McConnell of Ft. Myers, Florida, two daughters, Frances DePuy of Arizona and Helena Hughes of Verona, NY, 10 Grandchildren and several great and great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all! Thank You to all of her nurses and aids at St. Camillus that cared for her short time there, it was deeply appreciated by her family!! A Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated Saturday at 10 am at St. James Church, 6 Green Street in Cazenovia. The Rite of Committal will be in St. James Cemetery.
