Jean P. Gaines Pitt, 90, of New Woodstock, died Thursday at her home. Jean was a graduate of Western Reserve University and Syracuse University. She retired from the Veterans Administration Hospital in Syracuse where she was the former director of Social Work. Jean was also a member of the Delphi Falls Historical Society. Jean is predeceased by her husband Bill. She is survived by her daughters, Jacqueline J. Pitt of New Woodstock and Alda E. Pitt of California. A celebration of her life will be held in October. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Research Foundation.
