Jeffery Robert Schoenfeld was born August 9, 1955, in Marinette, Wisconsin and passed away peacefully at home in Nelson, New York on February 15, 2026.

       Jeff was a devoted husband, loving father, and loyal friend. He was the kind of person who made life feel a little steadier and a lot more joyful. He lived with integrity and generosity, and his heart was always open. If you needed help, he showed up with no hesitation, no excuses. If you had a story to tell, he leaned in and truly listened. His family and friends never had to wonder where they stood with him; his love was constant and unwavering.

       As a husband, he was a true partner in every sense. He was steady, supportive, and all-in on building a beautiful life together. As a father, he led by example, teaching patience, hard work, and kindness; often with a wink of humor, a bit of grit and a spark of curiosity. His children carry forward his curiosity about the world, his quick wit, his wisdom, and his steadfast belief that they could do anything.

       Jeff spent the majority of his professional life as president of Ansun Graphics. At Ansun, Jeff produced work for many colleges and universities across New York State, along with countless other customers. His attention to detail and precise production led to Ansun Graphics being a leader in quality print work across central New York.

       An ardent supporter of the arts, Jeff opened the Nelson Odeon in 2010 with the mission to bring quality music to the region. What began as a dream became a reality as the Odeon spent twelve seasons bringing performers from around the world to its audiences. Often referred to as a genuine listening room, concert goers were able to experience a special evening every time the Odeon opened its doors.

       Jeff had a deep admiration for nature and an endless curiosity about the world around him. Whether walking in the woods with his furry sidekick, watching birds bicker over the feeder outside the window, or standing waist-deep in cold water on the hunt for a lurking trout, he found peace, perspective, and just a little adventure in the outdoors.

       He wasn’t afraid to take risks or chase an idea that others might have passed by. Jeff embraced possibility with creativity and persistence, always staying true to his values. In his community, he gave freely of his time and spirit, making people feel welcome, included, and appreciated.

       Above all, he was a friend – loyal, genuine, and quick to laughter. He had a way of making ordinary moments memorable and hard days lighter. His absence will be deeply felt, but the love, laughter, and kindness he shared will continue to ripple outward for years to come.

       Jeffrey is survived by his wife, Linda; children Hunter, Rachel, Maxwell (JoMarie); three grandchildren; his sister, Heidi (Gary) Mix and by his brother, Jason. 

       Calling hours will be held from 12 to 2 p.m., Saturday, February 28, 2026 at the Nelson United Methodist Church, A Celebration of Jeff’s life will begin Saturday at 2:30 p.m. following the calling hours at the church, 3333 US Route 20, Nelson, NY.
