John A. Griffing, II, 52, of Cazenovia, formerly of Oneida, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2023. He was born September 30, 1971 in Oneida to John and Kathie Sullivan Griffing. John grew up in Sylvan Beach, was a graduate of Oneida High School in 1989 and attended S.U.N.Y. Cobleskill. He had been employed as a Quality Technician at Diemolding in Wampsville for 21 years. John was visually impaired and enjoyed listening to audiobooks; especially westerns and Stephen King novels. He also spent his free time enjoying music from the 1990's. John is survived by his wife of 16 years, Amanda; his step-children, Claire and Andrew; his father, John Griffing; his sister, JoAnne Bielby as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. John was predeceased by his mother, Kathie Sullivan Griffing in 2017. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, October 23, 2023 at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 10 Mill Street in Cazenovia.
