John J. Laub, 73, of Eaton, passed away at home Friday, September 17, 2021. He was born October 26, 1947 in Jackson Heights, New York to John J. and Margaret Lenaghan Laub. John retired from Crucible Steel where he had been employed as a certified welder for 27 years. He was an avid collector of Cub Cadet Tractors and model trains. John was a skilled woodworker and a self-proclaimed "Motorhead" who could fix any engine. John is survived by his wife of 37 years, Cecelia; his three sons, John J. (Kerstin) Laub of Cazenovia, Joseph J. (Jessica) Laub of New York, NY and Matthew (Bess) Laub of St. James, NY; his step-daughter, Theresa (Eric) Givens of Lawrenceville VA; his sisters, Margaret (Raymond) Ericksen of Farmingville, NY and Mildred Laub of St. James, NY; and grandchildren John, Matthew, Chelsea, Mia, and Ava.
