Joseph A. Thomas, 83, of Erieville passed away at home on Monday, May 26, 2025. He was born July 30, 1941 in Ira, New York to Homer and Marjorie Duvall Thomas. Joe retired as a foreman from the County of Onondaga Sanitation Department after 34 years of service. He was a member of the Delphi Falls Fire Department during the 1970's and in his free time he enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, gardening and farming. Joe is survived by his loving companion, Debbie Keller; his children, Brian Thomas, Tammy (Roy) Fellows, Vicky (Tim) Killian, Amy (Greg) Stone, Dennis (Cindy) Thomas, Rebecca (Charles) Thomas and Brenda Buchalla; his sister, Betty Sabin; his former wife, Joyce Thomas; 23 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Joe was predeceased by his son, Bruce; his brother, Raymond and by his first wife, Georgianna Allen. Calling hours will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at Michael E. Brown Funeral Services, 2333 Fenner Road in Cazenovia. A private service will be held at a later date.
