Judith D. “Judy” Rose, 55, of New Woodstock, passed away Monday, August 3, 2026. She was born in Syracuse on March 8, 1971 to Richard C. and Katherine J. Rose and was a graduate of Cazenovia High School, Class of ’92. Judy dedicated 16 ½ years of service to Marquardt Switches and later spent 5 ½ years brightening the cafeteria at Cazenovia College. Known for her cheerful spirit and knack for bringing smiles as a "jokester," Judy loved being with people and was deeply devoted to her faith. She was a treasured member of the Open Door Baptist Church, where her commitment as a prayer warrior inspired many.

Judy is survived by her mother, Katherine J. Rose of Canastota; her sister, Jeanne (Dudley) Schwebe of Canastota; her cousins, Paul Rose of Texas, Debbie (Kurt) Slocum of New Woodstock and Shelly (Jeremy) Cutting as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her father Richard C. Rose and by her sister, Nancy Jo Rose.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at the Open Door Baptist Church, 3019 NY Route 13, New Woodstock, New York. Burial will be in the New Woodstock Cemetery.
