Judith Ann Virgo Erb, 79, of Cazenovia passed away peacefully at home Sunday, August 16, 2026. She was born in Syracuse on December 13, 1946 to Glenn and Janetta Virgo. Judy was a graduate of Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She was a devoted and caring wife of 58 years, a loving mother to three sons and proud grandmother of three. Judy was supportive, open-minded and always ready to lend a helping hand. She lived her life with purpose and determination, always striving to achieve her goals. Judy was a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church and sang in the church choir. She volunteered as a docent with the Lorenzo State Historic Site. In her free time she enjoyed needlework, antiquing and spending time with her family. Judy’s wise, caring, and generous nature touched the lives of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family, friends and community.
She is survived by her husband, Steve Erb of Cazenovia; her sons, Scott Erb of Chesapeake, VA, Glenn Erb, and Greg Erb of Reston, VA; her sister, Joyce Virgo Flom of Kaysville, UT; her grandchildren, Emily Erb, Alex Erb and Joy Zhang and by two nephews. In addition to her parents, Judy was predeceased by her brother, Charles Virgo.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, August 22, 2026 in St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 10 Mill Street in Cazenovia. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Cazenovia. Condolences for Judy’s family may be shared at www.michaelebrownfuneralservices.com.
