Linda J. (Slocum) Dorrance, 74, of Cazenovia passed away peacefully Sunday evening at home with her family by her side. She was born in Oneida and retired as a Registered Nurse from Crouse Community Center, where she worked for over 20 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, W. Raymond and Paulina R. Slocum and by her son, Timothy P. Dorrance. Linda is survived by her husband of 55 years, John F. Dorrance; her children, Valerie J. (Dale) Waite, Thomas A. (Mia) Dorrance and Carrie E. (Keith) Burdin; a daughter-in-law, S. Nicci (Nick Janosky)  Dorrance; her brothers, Martin (Teddy), Dick (Jane), Donnie (Gail) and David (Judy) Slocum; 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

Linda requested that her services be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Linda's memory may be made to Hospice of CNY, 990 Seventh North St., Liverpool, NY 13088 or to the Alzheimer's Association of CNY, 441 West Kirkpatrick St., Syracuse, NY 13204.
