Mark Jon Sunderman, 72, of Chittenango formerly of Cazenovia, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2025 with his loving family by his side. He was born in Syracuse on May 26, 1953 to Edward A. and Janice Collier Sunderman and was a graduate of Cazenovia High School, Class of ’72. Mark was a master plumber. He learned the trade from his father and worked for Morgan Badgely for a number of years before starting Little Jon’s Plumbing & Heating in the early 1980’s. He retired from the business in 2019. 

        Mark was a member of the Cazenovia Lodge #616, Free and Accepted Masons. In his younger years, he served as a volunteer firefighter with the Cazenovia Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking. He loved camping with family and friends.

        Mark is survived by his wife of 30 years, Janet S. Sunderman; his sons, Mark (Amanda) Sunderman and Jonathan (Alison) Sunderman from his first marriage to Debbie Miner; his brother, Gary Sunderman; his aunt, Judy Hull; two grandchildren, Kelsey and Caroline as well as several cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Edward “Bud” Sunderman.
