Matthew E. Brown, 25, of Cazenovia died Friday at his home. Matt was a 2007 graduate of Cazenovia High School and graduated from ITT Tech in 2009 with an A.A.S. Degree in Multimedia. Matt was employed at Tops Supermarket in Cazenovia. Surviving are his parents Eric Brown and Colleen (Tim) Whidden of Cazenovia; his daughter Kayla Brown; his brothers, Mark (Tracy) Brown of Manlius, John Brown of Cazenovia, Jason Whidden of Cazenovia, Luke (Gretchen) Brown of Rochester; a sister Lucy Brown of Rochester; maternal grandfather, Alan Moynihan of Fort Mohave, AZ; paternal grandfather James Whidden, Sr. of Cazenovia; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He will be deeply missed by his loving family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am Wednesday at St. James Church, 6 Green Street in Cazenovia. The Rite of Committal will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 4-7 PM Tuesday at the Tait Funeral Home, Inc. 2333 Fenner Road in Cazenovia. A trust fund will be established for his daughter Kayla. The family wish is for contributions to be made to the trust fund in lieu of flowers.
