Megan Ann Cooney, 27, of Cazenovia, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2021. She was born March 11, 1994 in Poughkeepsie to Tom and Ann Cooney. Megan was a graduate of Cazenovia High School in 2012 and attended Broome County Community College. She had been employed as a Customer Relations Specialist with St. Joseph Physicians Family Medicine in Fayetteville. Megan enjoyed photography, playing basketball and lacrosse and was a fan of the NY Yankees. She was a communicant of St. James Church. Megan is survived by her father, Tom; her brother, Patrick; her paternal grandmother, Carolyn Cooney; aunts and uncles, Sharon Cooney, Pete Cooney, Bill (Valli) Wasp, Bob (Karen) Wasp, Russ (Marie) Wasp, Ellen (Allan) Beltran, Mike Tedesco and by several cousins. She was predeceased by her mother, Ann Cooney in 2019. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m., Friday, May 28, 2021 in St. James Church, 6 Green Street in Cazenovia. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m., Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Michael E. Brown Funeral Services, 2333 Fenner Rd., Cazenovia.
