Patricia Grace Thayer, 80, a lifelong resident of Chittenango, passed away peacefully Saturday morning at her son's home. Pat was a daughter of the late, Milton and Della Thayer and graduated from Chittenango High School in 1957. She worked at Thermold Corporation in Canastota for 42 years, retiring in 2008. Pat had been involved with the children's acolytes with the Chittenango United Methodist Church and was a member of the Quilting Club in Chittenango. She loved animals and her flower gardens, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, Pat was predeceased by her sister, Donna Thayer and by a great- granddaughter, Faith Jo-Ann Thayer. Patricia is survived by her son, James (Debra) Thayer; three grandchildren, James (Elise) Thayer, Jr., Michael (Holly) Thayer and Christina (Justin) French; eight great-grandchildren, Cassidy, Michael, Audriana, Parker, Julien, Chloe, Chase and Vivien. The Thayer family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to her caregivers, Mary Ewell and Donna Schermerhorn for the love and support provided during Pat's illness.
