Patricia "Patti" A. (Van Patten) Hanifan, of Oswego, died unexpectedly Sunday, October 27, 2016, in Crouse Hospital, Syracuse, at the age of 57. Patti was born on January 5, 1959 in Potsdam, to Christian and Bernice Van Patten. She grew up in Oswego and later moved to Heuvelton. Patti graduated from SUNY Canton and took up painting as a lifelong profession. She lived many years in Rensselaer Falls. Patti is survived by her husband, Michael Woodrow of Oswego; two daughters, Shawnassie Hanifan of Syracuse, and Abbigaile Woodrow of Herman, NY; three grandchildren, Katherine Hanifan, Ruby Hanifan and Parker Bonno.
