Obituary

Richard E. Ramsden, Sr., 84, of Cazenovia died Monday at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Syracuse, a son to the late, Ambrose J. and Norma C. Ramsden and resided in Cazenovia since 1961 where he was a lifetime dairy farmer and the owner of Triple R Farms. He was a school bus driver for the Cazenovia School District for 24 years, retiring in 1991. Richard was a member of the New Woodstock Federated Church. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Marian E. Foster Ramsden, who died December 24, 2012; his siblings, Patricia Freeborn, Roger Ramsden, Joan Stout and Carol Carter. Richard is survived by his children, Christine (William) Krick of Fort Worth, TX, Caroline (William) Barilla of Oneida, Richard Ramsden, Jr. of Cazenovia, Calista (Glen) Stringer of Bradenton, FL, Constance (Leigh) Havener of Chittenango and Russell (Angela) Ramsden of Hancock, NH; four sisters, Bonnie (Robert) Pulver of West Monroe, Lucille (Harold) Carter of Marietta, Nellie (Ken Hyde) Ramsden of Marcellus and Debbie (Lafayette) Jones of East Amherst; 13 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. There are no calling hours. Memorial services are 11 a.m. Saturday, September 26, 2015 at the New Woodstock Federated Church. Burial will be in New Woodstock Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Mr. Ramsden may be made to the New Woodstock Federated Church, 2065 Main St., New Woodstock, NY 13122. Michael E.
