Rita W. Cook, 59, of Erieville, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2025 at Strong Memorial Hospital with her loving husband by her side. She was born June 23, 1966 in Syracuse and was a graduate of Cazenovia High School. She earned her Associate's degree from S.U.N.Y. Morrisville and her Bachelor's degree from S.U.N.Y. College of Environmental Science and Forestry. Rita had been employed as a manager with Penn Traffic in the accounts payable and accounts receivable departments. Most recently, she was employed in the accounts receivable department at Carrier Enterprise. In her younger years, Rita played softball and basketball. She enjoyed being outdoors and during the winter she liked to crotchet and knit. Rita was a former member of the Nelson United Methodist Church. 

       She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Francis L. Cook, Jr.; her sister, Robin Hibbard of Aiken, SC; her brothers, Rick (Tammy) Woodworth of Howe, TX and Randy (Nicol) Woodworth of North Bay as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Leroy F. and Ruth DeLine Woodworth. 
  
       GRAVESIDE SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 1 P.M., MONDAY, MAY 11, 2026 AT THE ERIEVILLE CEMETERY IN ERIEVILLE. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, December 20, 2025 at Michael E. Brown Funeral Services. Calling hours were 4 to 6 p.m., Friday, December 19, 2025 at the funeral, 2333 Fenner Road in Cazenovia.
