Robert V. Norris, 90, recently of Horseheads, NY, and a longtime resident of Cazenovia, NY, passed away on July 23, 2014. Bob was born in Manlius, NY on October 17, 1923, the son of Clyde and Laura (Tuttle) Norris. Bob was a graduate of SUNY Morrisville. Bob was a member of the Navy Medical Corps, serving with the Marine's Fourth Division in securing the Island of Saipan during World War II. Bob was a longtime letter carrier with the Cazenovia Post Office, retiring in 1984. Bob enjoyed traveling, gardening, winters in Florida, and loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a longtime member of American Legion Post 88 in Cazenovia and a charter member of CAVAC. Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Lucille (Tucker) Norris; three loving children, Sandra Driscoll of Fort Myers, FL and Plymouth, MA; Marcia McPherson of Elmira, NY; and Gary Norris and his wife Susan of Stow, MA; sister Jean Hale of Manlius, NY; a brother Walt Norris of Cazenovia, NY; 15 nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church in Cazenovia. Burial will be in Morrisville Rural Cemetery. Calling hours will be held 4-7pm on Monday at the Tait Funeral Home, Inc., 2333 Fenner Road in Cazenovia.
