Shirley Ford Hardesty of Cazenovia passed away peacefully at home on Monday, February 1, 2016. She was born in Colonie, New York to Edna P. Weininger and Frank C. Ford. After graduating from SUNY Albany, she worked at the New York State Library in Albany. Shirley was predeceased by her husband, Robert A. Hardesty Jr. She is survived by her children, Alan (Denise) Hardesty, Susan (Larry) Hardesty and Jill Johnston; her grandchildren, Jillian (North) Shutsharawan, Lucy Demmerle, Cole Johnston and Allie Johnston. She is also survived by a nephew, Robert Schede. A celebration of her life will be held in the spring. Michael E. Brown Funeral Services, Cazenovia has care of arrangements.
