Teresa "Terry" McGuinness Wright of Cazenovia, passed away at home Tuesday, April 12, 2016. Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Terry was the second youngest of 12 children of the late, John and Margaret McGuinness. She came to the United States in the early 1950's and resided in Queens, New York until her marriage to Joseph John Wright in 1956. They lived in Albany and Syracuse before moving to Cazenovia in 1973. Terry was a Nursing Station Clerk at Upstate Medical Center for 12 years until her retirement in 1993. She was a communicant of St. James Church and enjoyed traveling to Elder Hostels. In addition to her parents, Terry was predeceased by her husband, Joseph John Wright, who died August 12, 1991. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Wright of Cazenovia; a brother, David McGuinness of Belfast, Northern Ireland; a sister, Dodie Brown of Stockton-on-Tees, England; and her beloved dogs, Gizmo and Billy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 15, 2016 at St. James Church, 6 Green St., Cazenovia. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery, Cazenovia.
