Virginia "Ginny" Lyga Davis, 92, of Erieville, died Monday in the quiet of her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Cazenovia, NY on September 7, 1927, to Thomas and Matilda Lyga. She married C. Lester Davis on December 11th, 1947. Virginia was the secretary of the Green Street Middle school for 30 years, the same school that she graduated from in 1945. She was a member of the Cazenovia United Methodist Church where she was married 72 years ago. Virginia loved family gatherings, summers at Hatch Lake, and winters in Myrtle Beach. Surviving are her husband C. Lester Davis along with her children, Richard (Lori) Davis of Liverpool, NY, and Tami (Ritch) Selfridge of Bainbridge, NY; her son-in-law, David Clements of New Hartford; her daughter-in-law, Nancy Davis of Cazenovia along with 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter Kathleen Clements in 2008 and son Charles "Charlie" C. Davis in 2019. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m., Friday, January 10, 2020 at Michael E. Brown Funeral Services, 2333 Fenner Road, Cazenovia. Calling hours are 1 to 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
