Virginia (Jean) Cecilia Ryan, 97, formerly of Toms River, NJ, died March 30th at Menorah Park, Syracuse, NY. Virginia was a Communicant of St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church in Toms River, and a member of the Rosary Altar Society. She was predeceased by her husband John M. Ryan in 1976. She graduated from Jersey City Medical Center School of Nursing and as a private duty nurse, had a long career of helping others, retiring at 80 yrs. old. Surviving are her daughters, Barbara (Pat) McCall of Cazenovia NY and Patricia Ryan of Storrs, CT. She is also survived by grandchildren Tim (Erica) Myers, Matthew (Rebecca) Meyers, Kathleen (Mark) Valentine, Nora (Mike) Campbell, Maggie (Eric) Thompson and great-grandchildren, Craig, Cara, Jack, Anna, Luke and Sidney along with several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:15 am on Saturday, April 13th, at St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church in Toms River. The Rite of Committal will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Toms River.
